Experience working with young people is desirable, and a full driving license is required.
What the Job Involves
As a Residential Childcare Officer, you will provide direct care and support to young people, helping them achieve positive outcomes in line with their personal childcare plans. You will work within a team, building appropriate relationships, promoting individuality, and providing a nurturing environment. As a Waking Night Officer, you will be awake on duty throughout the night, monitoring and responding to individual needs and ensuring effective communication with out-of-hours services.
- Administering the home in the absence of senior staff
- Assuming keyworker responsibilities
- Maintaining and updating records and reports
- Encouraging education and recreational activities
- Participating in household tasks and meal preparations
