You are comfortable working in a team environment and possess a strong sense of responsibility. You must be willing to take on the physical demands of the role and have excellent communication skills to interact with the public and team members effectively.
What the Job Involves
This role requires you to assist with the intake of impounded dogs and handle clerical tasks associated with their care. You will be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning, disinfection, and sterilisation of kennels and equipment. Your duties include inspecting dogs for signs of illness, reporting to the veterinary team, and ensuring the well-being of the animals through food, water, and medication administration. You will also exercise dogs, maintain records, and assist with assessments. Additionally, you'll supervise volunteers and trainees and maintain up-to-date records on digital platforms, all while promoting a positive image of the Dogs Home.
