Who You Are

We are looking for Social Workers who are passionate about safeguarding children and supporting families. You should be skilled in assessment, planning, and delivering interventions, and committed to working collaboratively, inclusively, and creatively. Resilience, reflection, and confidence in making difficult decisions are essential. You must be registered with Social Work England and hold a recognized Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW). The ability to work effectively within a supportive team environment is crucial.

What the Job Involves

As a Children's Social Worker in the Safeguarding & Support team, you will work directly with children, young people, and their families to foster meaningful, lasting change. Your role involves building trusting relationships, offering early help and support, and taking decisive action to ensure children's safety and well-being when necessary. You will empower families to overcome challenges while keeping the child's voice central to everything you do. The role offers opportunities for collaboration within the supportive structure of our locality-based teams, benefiting from the flexibility of home working.
