You have extensive knowledge of fostering services and are familiar with the challenges and policies that impact children in care and foster carers. You can navigate a wide array of viewpoints, building consensus effectively. You have experience in partnerships, developing new service models, and managing change within social care settings. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to deliver clear and concise information, reports, and data.

What the Job Involves

As the Regional Development Manager for Substitute Family Care, you will be pivotal in establishing and delivering Foster Wales Cardiff and Foster Wales Vale of Glamorgan initiatives. Your role involves leading regional improvements for fostering services across Cardiff and Vale, managing regional staff, and maintaining oversight of the regional fostering recruitment process. You will develop and implement regional work programs, analyze national performance data, and generate improvement plans. This will involve attending national meetings, communicating priorities, ensuring the completion of the national performance framework, and engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and third-party organizations.
