Who You Are

You are a dedicated and responsible individual who holds a clean driving license and ideally has experience within a similar environment. You have a good understanding of Health and Safety protocols and are committed to abiding by policies and procedures. You thrive both independently and as part of a team, are self-motivated, and take pride in the quality of your work. You possess good communication skills, a willingness to undergo relevant training, and have a flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and bank holidays. Welsh language skills are desirable.

What the Job Involves

As a Ground Maintenance Operative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and sustainable environment within Monmouthshire. Your responsibilities will include the upkeep of public open spaces, verges, schools, and contracted sites, ensuring they are clean, tidy, and sustainable. You will perform grounds maintenance activities, such as grass cutting, horticultural upkeep, sports facility maintenance, and arboriculture work. You will also be involved in litter management, including emptying bins and responding to fly-tipping cases. Additionally, you may assist in street services, especially during emergencies, and will be required to comply with health and safety standards.
