What the Job Involves
This role is part of the Adoption service of Lincolnshire County Council, requiring you to work from one of our offices in Lincoln, Sleaford, or Louth at least twice a week. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting assessments, supporting prospective adoptive parents, and providing post adoption and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) support. You will work within a busy team, managing services across Lincolnshire, which entails some travel within the county.
Skills
- Excellent time management
- Analytical report writing
- Experience in adoption, supervising, or post adoption support
- Presentation skills for panel and court attendance
- Relationship building with adoptive parents
- Understanding trauma and attachment needs
- Therapeutic experience or qualifications (preferred)
- Knowledge of adoption agency regulations and Adoption Support Services Regulations 2005
