Who You Are
You are a Senior Social Worker with the ability to lead on complex, statutory cases involving children, particularly in areas of child protection, care proceedings, and looked-after children. You are committed to promoting positive change in the lives of children and families using social work methods and tools. As a professional, you have the capability to make informed judgments within legal and policy frameworks, establish collaborative working relationships with allied professionals, and provide supervision for social work student placements.
What the Job Involves
This role involves managing a complex caseload of children and families, undertaking initial and comprehensive assessments, and developing, implementing, and reviewing casework plans. You will carry out safeguarding enquiries, support care and support plans, and prepare applications and reports for court proceedings. You will have a key role in multi-agency working to protect children from harm and influence positive changes in their lives. Additionally, you will contribute to service development, tackle racism, and promote equality.
