Who You Are

You are a dedicated and experienced children's social worker with a strong commitment to implementing positive change in complex cases. You possess a professional qualification in social work and are registered with the Health & Care Professions Council. Your extensive experience includes managing the most challenging cases and working collaboratively with families, children, and partner agencies. You approach families with empathy, compassion, and creativity, and you are reflective, authoritative, and professional in improving outcomes for children, families, and carers.

What the Job Involves

This role involves using systemic social work methods to lead and oversee professional judgments, manage high-need complex caseloads, and collaborate with partner agencies to protect children from harm. You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, support their implementation, and advise on safeguarding inquiries. Additionally, you will represent the Council in court, explore legislation, participate in supervision and case reflection meetings, and contribute to investigations and resolutions of complaints. You will also mentor junior social workers and undertake responsibility for complex projects, ensuring alignment with the Council's statutes and policies.
