Who You Are
You are a dedicated professional with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a permanent, frontline safeguarding role. Your experience and training in completing section 47 investigations make you adept at handling complex child protection cases. You are committed to supporting children and families, working tirelessly to ensure their safety and well-being.
What the Job Involves
In this role, you will be responsible for completing assessments of children and their families where safeguarding concerns have been shared. You will support children who are subject to child protection and Child in Need Plans, and compile assessments and reports for court within private and public law proceedings. You will take cases from referral to completion at closure or through Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Care Proceedings if necessary, ensuring continuity with no change of Social Worker. Based in Grantham with free parking on site, you will serve the entire South Kesteven District, including Grantham and its large rural area. The team operates on a four-week duty system, and during duty weeks, you will be office-based for five days to pick up new cases and carry out initial visits.
