Who You Are
As a Social Worker in Adult Services, you possess a strong understanding of social care practices as defined by Social Work England Guidelines. You demonstrate empathy, sensitivity, self-awareness, and resilience, with a commitment to promoting and safeguarding the well-being of vulnerable people. You are open to organizational change and able to work well both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
What the Job Involves
Your primary responsibility is to assess risk and care needs of service users and carers, ensuring appropriate actions are taken within relevant legislation. You will manage a caseload, engage with users in crisis, develop care plans, and maintain high standards of client records. You will work in collaboration with other agencies, facilitating service provision, and participating in team meetings and Post-Qualifying training. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, acting as a link worker with various agencies, and supervise less experienced staff as required.
