You are a skilled social worker with experience working with children who are long term looked after. You are dedicated to supporting children under 16 years old who have a care plan for long term foster care. You thrive in a team environment where you can manage a reasonable caseload and make a meaningful impact in children's lives.
What the job involves
The role involves managing a caseload of 14 to 16 children who have been transferred to the Children Looked After Team after care proceedings. You will be responsible for their care and support until they reach the age of 16. The position includes a weekly travel and accommodation allowance for agency placements if residing more than 50 miles from Swindon. This allowance is confirmed to remain in place until 31 August 2026.
