Job Title: Advanced Practitioner Social Work

Who You Are

An experienced social work professional with an in-depth understanding of social work practices and a strong commitment to promoting well-being and independence among adults. You hold a valid Social Work qualification and are registered with Social Work England. You have demonstrated a track record of supporting complex casework, providing supervision to staff, and promoting ethical decision-making. Your extensive knowledge of social care legislation and your leadership skills enable you to manage and lead a high-performing team effectively.

What the Job Involves

You will manage and deliver operational services within a small, specified neighbourhood or locality area, providing leadership to ensure professional social work practices in Adult Social Care. Your responsibilities include developing and monitoring performance indicators, overseeing complex cases, and supporting staff with legal and policy frameworks. You will act as an Advanced Practitioner in areas such as Intermediate Care, Mental Health Social Care, and Safeguarding, among others. You will also be responsible for delivering service standards in line with The Care Act, managing a devolved budget, and contributing to strategic service developments.
