Role

Who You Are

You are an experienced Social Worker with a strong background in family safeguarding. You have the expertise to undertake comprehensive assessments and are skilled at developing outcome-focused care plans. Your experience includes managing care proceedings in both private and public court settings and achieving permanency plans for children.

What the Job Involves

As an Experienced Social Worker within the Family Safeguarding Service at Swindon Borough Council, you will work within a POD structure consisting of 5 Social Workers and 1 Manager. Your role involves conducting assessments, engaging in court proceedings, and developing permanency plans for children, including adoption. You will be expected to manage the complexity of risks and document your interventions with analysis and evidence. You will also have the opportunity to claim weekly travel and accommodation expenses if residing more than 50 miles from Swindon.
