Transport Operations Officer

Who You Are

A dedicated and organized individual with a deep understanding of Education Transport legislation and national guidelines. You have the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing and can effectively supervise a team.

You are self-motivated with excellent customer care skills and can manage and prioritize a demanding workload. You have experience in transport operations and are committed to professional development.

What the Job Involves

You will work as part of a team to manage and operate a network of approximately 350 transport contracts safely and efficiently. This includes arranging transport for approximately 3000 pupils, as well as Social Services clients, maintaining records and financials, and ensuring contract compliance through monitoring and inspections. Supervision of school transport escorts and managing attendance are key duties.

Additionally, you will prepare tender documents, manage risk assessments, and respond to general queries about Education & Social Services Transport. Regular communication with parents, carers, operators, and other stakeholders is required.
