What the Job Involves
The role involves overseeing a caseload of Deputyship and Appointeeship clients. You will administer financial affairs according to legal directives, including Court of Protection Orders and DWP Appointeeship authorisations. You'll perform financial assessments, monitor benefits and pensions, develop spending plans, and ensure financial commitments are met. Your duties extend to managing clients' incomes and financial decisions, with opportunities to escalate complex cases to senior colleagues.
Skills
- Strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Familiarity with Court of Protection and OPG standards
- Financial assessment and analysis
- Knowledge of state benefits and pension systems
- Ability to develop individual spending plans
