What the Job Involves
This role is based at Camberwell Foyer, 90 Denmark Hill, London SE5 8RX. You will be responsible for preventing and alleviating homelessness in accordance with the Homelessness Reduction Act. Your tasks will include conducting housing needs assessments, managing a diverse caseload, and providing advice and support through various communication channels. You will explore all housing options, undertake assessments of homeless applications under the Housing Act 1996, and assist clients in securing suitable accommodation. Additionally, you will work to promote a housing options approach, assess housing-related support needs, and engage with tenants affected by welfare reform.
