Who You Are

You are a highly analytical professional with extensive experience in local government or similar complex organizations, capable of conducting operational analysis, service review, and business improvement. You possess a strong capability to manage and mentor teams, communicate insights effectively, and engage diverse stakeholders to build credible partnerships. With a proactive and detail-oriented approach, you are well-versed in methodologies like Lean or systems thinking, enhancing service redesign and efficiency.

What the Job Involves

This role involves supporting a Council under Exceptional Financial Support (EFS) by delivering an ambitious recovery and modernisation programme. You will conduct service diagnostics, analyse costs, map processes, and develop transformation options that save costs and improve service outcomes. Working collaboratively with various teams, your responsibility extends to leading diagnostics, managing a team of analysts, and supporting programme governance while ensuring alignment with the Council’s methodologies. Your strategic insights will drive real change across diverse service areas, influencing decisions that impact services and communities.
