You are an experienced professional with a good level of education, at least to GCSE standard or equivalent, including grades C or above in English and Maths. You bring experience in office systems and have worked within an office environment before. You understand statutory procedures, have strong communication skills, and can prioritize your workload effectively. A commitment to customer focus and willingness to undertake training is essential. An interest in law or an associated discipline is desirable.
What the Job Involves
This role involves supporting the functions related to Highways Public Rights of Way and Commons within the Commercial Law Team. You will be responsible for preparing and drafting legal documents, checking content, and dealing with associated correspondence and telephone inquiries. Liaising with various directorates and handling objections to proposals is key. Additionally, you will provide administrative support, check land titles, update council websites, and assist in managing the law library. Your contributions to developing office procedures, handling document preparation, and providing general administration are pivotal.
