What the Job Involves
This statutory role is primarily focused on safeguarding children and young people at risk of significant harm, as per the Children Act 1989. You will manage risks, ensure intervention, and secure alternative homes for children when necessary. Your responsibilities will include casework with children, youth, and families, all while adhering to legislative and policy frameworks. Your duties will require working directly in various settings, traveling, and providing support even during weekends and evenings. A crucial aspect of this role involves court work, where you may be required to present evidence on behalf of the Local Authority.
