Who You Are

You are an experienced social worker with a strong foundation in undertaking assessments and developing support plans. You have an extensive understanding of the Care Act 2014 and a commitment to promoting positive change in people's lives. You are equipped to handle both straightforward and complex cases by applying social work theories, recognizing safeguarding concerns, and making sound professional judgments within legal and policy frameworks.

What the Job Involves

As a Social Worker in the Delivery cluster, you will manage a caseload of individuals with care and support needs, assess and plan how their needs will be met, and support them in implementing those plans. You will engage in adult safeguarding inquiries and ensure that the implementation of care is in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005. You will contribute to the investigation and resolution of complaints and provide information about care costs and welfare rights. The role involves collaborating across networks, understanding complex family dynamics, and helping people stay as independent as possible by using social work models and tools.
