What the Job Involves
This role involves ensuring the efficient and effective handling of enforcement cases by adhering to the Council's Planning Enforcement Plan as well as applicable policies and legislation. Responsibilities include preparing high-quality documentation such as Enforcement and Breach of Condition Notices, conducting timely site visits to evaluate breaches, and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of relevant planning legislation. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate investigation of enforcement matters, defending the Council's decisions at appeal and in court if necessary. Additionally, providing excellent customer service and working collaboratively within a team to meet service objectives is key.
