Who You Are
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual with the right people skills, values, and a strong commitment to upholding human rights. You should be a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) with at least one year of practice and experience assessing a range of client groups. A robust understanding of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, The Care Act, and Safeguarding is essential for this role.
What the Job Involves
You will be joining an experienced and supportive AMHP service, working alongside skilled colleagues within Herefordshire Community Wellbeing. The role involves making thoughtful, legally sound decisions in complex situations, often working with some of the most vulnerable people in our community. You will benefit from a culture that values professional autonomy, reflective practice, and strong peer support. Opportunities for further professional development, leadership opportunities, and a chance to engage in continued learning are integral to the role. This is primarily a 9-5 position with no requirement to work out of hours unless you choose to join the well-paid out-of-hours rota.
