Who You Are
A dedicated and fully qualified social work professional with a commitment to providing high-quality services that support children, young people, and their families. You possess current accreditation with Social Work England and are equipped to manage complex and high-risk cases. You have a strong knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and bring a collaborative spirit to interagency partnerships.
What the Job Involves
You will hold and manage a caseload that may include Children in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children. Undertaking assessments and formulating plans in cooperation with multi-agency partners are key responsibilities to ensure positive outcomes for children. You will engage in supervision, performance appraisal, and have the capacity to testify in legal proceedings. You will also plan and commission services to support children, young people, and their families, ensuring a focus on safeguarding and welfare. Additionally, you may supervise Social Work students, providing them with guidance and support.
