You are an experienced and committed leader capable of managing a team of social workers and professionals to deliver statutory and legislative duties. You have a strong focus on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people, with the ability to effectively manage risks and support high quality service delivery. You possess excellent collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and partners, promoting equality and the Council’s values. You are skilled in using a range of evidence-based approaches to enhance interventions and outcomes for children and families.
What the Job Involves
The role involves the day-to-day management of a team in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people in Sefton. You will oversee performance targets, ensure quality service standards, and manage caseload distribution. Support the development of interventions and ensure that all work is aligned with Sefton’s childcare policies. Responsibilities include supervising staff, leading group supervision, co-working on complex cases, and participating in quality assurance activities. You will also support the Team Manager in addressing under-performance and conduct issues, contribute to staff development, and maintain professional relationships within the sector. Additionally, the role requires ensuring service delivery within an anti-discriminatory framework and taking on additional duties when necessary.
