What the Job Involves
This role involves providing evidence-based interventions to support children, young people, and families. You'll work collaboratively with various agencies to deliver targeted support, conduct holistic assessments, and manage a diverse caseload. As a Lead Professional, you will champion child and family needs, offering intensive support and facilitating groups. You'll also engage in performance management, maintain detailed records, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Skills
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in social care, childcare, or related field
- Strong understanding of issues impacting vulnerable young people
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Proficient in report writing and record maintenance
- Experience with multi-agency working and child protection
- Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
- Commitment to anti-discriminatory practice
- Computer literacy
- Operational experience managing complex cases
