Who You Are
You are a compassionate and adaptable individual with a commitment to enabling people to regain their independence. You have at least 2 years of experience in supporting adults with personal care and daily living tasks in their own homes. Possessing a full driving license and access to a vehicle, you are capable of traveling across Enfield to meet the service demands. You are flexible in your approach and ready to respond to changing service requirements.
What the Job Involves
As a Reablement Worker, your role is to support adults in regaining confidence, skills, and independence following illness or hospital discharge. You will work closely with Occupational Therapists, Assistant Occupational Therapists, and the wider team to deliver support for up to 6 weeks. This support is critical in helping individuals return to or work towards their baseline level of independence. You will adhere to structured rota patterns across different clusters, ensuring the delivery of a short-term reablement service rather than long-term care.
Skills
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle
- At least 2 years of experience in personal care and support
- Flexible approach to service demands
- Care Certificate or Level 2 NVQ/QCF in Care (desirable)
- Knowledge of reablement practices
- Up-to-date training in manual handling, medication administration
- Understanding of safeguarding and infection control
