Independent Social Worker (Connect Person’s Assessment) (Grade 8)

Who You Are

We are seeking qualified social workers with at least 3 years of experience who are registered with Social Care Wales. Ideally, candidates will have previous fostering experience, including the completion of Connected Person’s Assessments. Candidates must reside in Wales.

What the Job Involves

You will be part of a pool of assessors contacted by Foster Wales Cardiff as needed. The role involves carrying out face-to-face visits at the applicant’s home to assess and prepare prospective kinship carers. Your responsibilities will also include presenting assessments to a panel, which is convened on Wednesdays. Although you'll need to work independently, supervision for assessments and regular check-ins with your supervisor will be provided.
