You have a strong understanding of fostering and kinship care, alongside statutory experience and a commitment to anti-discriminatory practice. You are motivated, work well both independently and as part of a team, and are flexible enough to work outside of standard hours when necessary.
What the Job Involves
As a Kinship Fostering Supervising Social Worker within the Cardiff Fostering Service, you will support kinship foster carers and work within legal frameworks to assess and review services. You'll contribute to developing systems to ensure service quality, help recruit and support foster carers, and work in multi-disciplinary teams. Responsibilities include managing workloads, participating in decision-making forums, and supporting the learning of student social workers. You'll also assist in identifying trends and unmet needs to aid service planning.
